The Five-Star VOMO Island Resort's Newly Renovated Villas - Transformed

After a five million dollar renovation, VOMO Island Resort, located on a 225-acre private island in the South Pacific, unveils 26 newly transformed Hillside and Beachfront Villas. Sophisticated design with an elevated aesthetic, thoughtful layout and ultra-modern amenities ensure a luxurious level of comfort for the most discerning guests.
General Manager Mark Leslie and New Zealand-based architect Michael Fisher spearheaded the villa redesign achieving sleek, modern and serene interiors using a contemporary color palette of neutral sand and stone tones with pops of color. Natural textures and raw materials like timber, copper and marble contribute to the natural tropical island environment. The design team traveled to Asia and sourced bespoke furnishings that were handmade exclusively for VOMO including daybeds, coffee tables, bathroom fixtures and mirror frames. A cleverly designed dressing room sits behind the newly implemented Dynasty beds that conceals a closet, a mini safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and a linen laundry basket, that gets whisked away daily for complimentary wash and fold service.
The transformed bathrooms now feature double sinks and oversized free standing bathtubs, currently the only in the world to be manufactured from recycled marble. Amenities include L'Occitane bath products, while select villas boast indulgent outdoor tubs and showers. The outdoor experience extends to the villa's private balconies and patios with bespoke dining tables and chairs plus sun lounges or daybeds to enjoy a quintessential Fijian vista.
Thoughtful in room amenities like multiple USB ports are strategically placed near the bedside and desk for easy access and stand in for the need of international adaptors to charge devices. Free Wi-Fi and BOSE speaker with Bluetooth capabilities enables guests to enjoy their own music from their phone, laptop or tablet. Subtle adjustable lighting details in the villas suit any mood and a soft light glows under the bathroom vanity for fuss-free midnight wake-ups. Design conscious finishes like the state-of-the-art air conditioning units are recessed into the ceiling, and ceiling fans are not only silent but gorgeous handmade works of art, both with remote controls for easy operation.
A unique new feature to the villas is a retractable privacy curtain partition that can be used to separate the bedroom from the lounge area perfect for families sharing a villa with children. The daybed in the lounge area is a single size mattress where a child can sleep with ample space for an additional cot or rollaway bed accommodating a family of four with kids 12 and under.
