Opening of Hong Kong Observation Wheel

HONG KONG OBSERVATION WHEEL OFFERS A TRULY UNIQUE VIEW OF THE CITY

Swiss AEX has announced the opening of the 60-metre Hong Kong Observation Wheel which showcases stunning day and night views of Hong Kong's spectacular harbour. The Observation Wheel is located in the Central harbourfront on Hong Kong Island and has 42 luxury gondolas, including one special VIP gondola, with each gondola able to accommodate eight seated passengers.

Each gondola is equipped with high-tech safety and super-fast HKT Wi-Fi communication systems allowing passengers to take selfies and share images with their social networks.  It is estimated that the Observation Wheel will offer one million passengers a year both day and night panoramic views of Hong Kong in world-class style and comfort (the gondolas will offer air-conditioning during summer and heating in winter).

Visitors will be able to ride the Hong Kong Observation Wheel between 11am - 11pm throughout the year for the 15 – 20 minute journey. Tickets for the Observation Wheel are HK$100 (approximately AUD16) for adults and HK$70 (approximately AUD11) for persons with a disability, children under 12 years, full-time students and senior citizens.
