Free Guide to Help Grow NSW Tourism

A guide to grow tourism to Sydney and NSW in domestic and international markets has been launched by the NSW Government's tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer, Sandra Chipchase said the Partner Opportunities with
Destination NSW Prospectus July 2014 – June 2015 sets out the opportunity for the NSW tourism industry to work together with the agency to ensure Sydney and Regional NSW continues to be a global tourism and events destination.

“Destination NSW offers a range of opportunities to assist industry in reaching consumers and trade in key markets not only across NSW, but also Australia and overseas,” Ms Chipchase said.

“The Prospectus outlines how to access free of charge business resources, listings on our websites, product showcases, publicity opportunities and free industry research.

“Regardless of the size of your business or budget, Destination NSW can help you promote your product, destination or event,” she said.

“By working closely with the industry and offering them targeted opportunities for growth, we can jointly help boost the NSW Visitor Economy to achieve the goal of doubling overnight visitor expenditure to NSW by 2020.

“Tourism is a big business for NSW, with visitors contributing more than $27 billion in total expenditure to year ending December 2013, so it's important the industry is fully aware of what's on offer to further build sales and maximise exposure of visitor products and experiences.

General Manager of Industry Partnerships and Government Policy Simonne Shepherd said: “Partner Opportunities with Destination NSW Prospectus July 2014 – June 2015 can be downloaded from our website, and businesses wanting to get involved in any of the offerings can complete the Expression of Interest form contained in the Prospectus or on our website.

“Visual resources, including access to a library of over 10,000 images are also available, free of charge through Destination NSW,” Ms Shepherd said.
