A Queenstown adventure ‘fit for a royal’

A small but intrepid group of Australian corporate buyers this month discovered why Queenstown is New Zealand's undisputed 'adventure capital' when they packed zip lining, jet boating, helicopter rides and a 4WD Safari all into a three-day adrenalin-fuelled famil.

Participants on the unforgettable program - themed "Fit for a Royal" to mark the recent visit to Queenstown of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - also took part in a 'Winery Olympics', rode a gondola up to Skyline Queenstown for a ‘Dinner in the Sky’, and stayed at two of the region’s top hotels, The Heritage Queenstown and The Hilton Queenstown.

The pre-Meetings NZ tour was organised by one of New Zealand's leading destination management companies, HQ New Zealand, which has more than 15 years' experience providing creative and inspiring products and services for conference and incentive groups.

Lisha Singh, Business Development Manager at Tourism Portfolio, which represents HQ New Zealand in Australia, says that after three days experiencing Queenstown’s attractions it is no surprise the destination is lauded as the "jewel in the crown" of New Zealand's tourism industry.

"The quality and variety of world-class experiences, food and wine, accommodation and activities in one spectacular setting make it a hard to beat as a convenient and cost-effective solution for Australian conference and incentive groups," says Singh.
