New Watsons 'Beach Club' Offers The Best Of Laid Back Sydney Luxe

544935After an excess of $2,000,000 worth of renovations over winter, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel's highly anticipated Beach Club has re-launched in seamless timing for the summer ahead.

With a distinct aesthetic that pays homage to mid-century 'Miami cool' (courtesy of architect, Jeremy Bull), copious Caribbean cocktails on pour and picturesque sunsets that drench the bay, hotel and beyond, the Beach Club is set to become Sydney's hottest harbourside haven.

Seceding the historic Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel from the crystal clear waters of Sydney Harbour that lap just meters from its entrance, the Beach Club provides perfect sanctuary for long lunches of delicious seafood with friends, explorative city escapes with the family, and drinks to the sounds of Sydney's finest DJs...and all a mere 12km from the CBD, and seven minutes drive from Bondi Beach.

544929"One of the most important aspects was the food offering. We've completely recreated the menu and service structure; this was an obvious priority," explains Owner, Fraser Short, who says the hotel and its new Beach Club have finally been given the love it deserves, complimenting one of Sydney's most affluent and scenic suburbs.
John Pye (ex-Doltone House) has joined the team as Executive & Head Chef in preparation, and has worked rigorously to design a new menu that showcases dishes including fresh Pacific Oysters with cabernet vinegar and eshallot dressing, Salt & Pepper Mud Crab and Fresh Yabbie & Crab Linguine. For dessert, Lemon Gelato served with a lemonchello shot and almond biscotti; the perfect summer heat relief...
544932In addition to the new menu, renovations to The Beach Club include a 15-metre open gallery kitchen, relocation of the cocktail bar; offering an extensive selection of fine wines, tap beer and moreish European-inspired cocktails. A new street-facing and accessible 'Fish & Chippery' is set to give nearby Doyles kiosk a somewhat controversial run for their money.

The revamped Beach Club will also reveal an extension of the 'Top Deck' space, a spacious timber sundeck offering uninterrupted panoramic views across the harborto the city...an unbeatable setting for casual summer day parties suitable for patrons of all ages.

On ground level, a direct entrance way has been created to provide uninterrupted access to the soft sands and lapping waves of Watsons Bay - just incase a post-lunch cool-off dip tickles your fancy...
"There is nothing like the Beach Club in Sydney. Sydneysiders constantly remark on a lack of outdoor venues, by the beach, that offer live music, good drinks and excellent food with a cool, informal vibe. Now they have it. The Beach Club is laid back Sydney luxe at it's finest" says Short.

The Beach Club will offer a unique experience that combines classic Sydney harbour with contemporary costal luxury, the perfect setting to unwind over ice-cold cocktails or beer, and enjoy a sunset that will take your breath away.
