Jordan Tourism Board announced the launch of its Online Specialist Programme that aims to increase the travel trade's knowledge, capability, and sales of Jordan as a destination. The Jordan Specialist accreditation will be awarded to individuals who successfully complete the programme and they will be encouraged to utilise the programme in a way that they become experts on the destination with the most up to date knowledge of Jordan.

The program's website academy.visitjordan.com has been designed in various modules that takes you through every step with in-depth information about Jordan and its diverse offerings. From basic information on Jordan, to practical details such as flights, things to do, currencies, visas, weather, etc, — the programme is a one-stop shop to become a Jordan expert.

Jordan boasts of sunshine around the year with moderate weather. There are some amazing places in Jordan which are on every traveller's bucket list. Without doubt, Jordan's most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction is Petra, a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans. Then there is the mineral rich and unsinkable Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The Dead Sea is flanked by mountains to the east and the rolling hills of Jerusalem to the west that gives it an almost otherworldly feeling. Wadi Rum, referred to as the Valley of Moon by the Bedouins, is ideal for adventure enthusiasts as it has various options for trekking, rock climbing, mountain biking and hot air ballooning. Amman, the capital which is a modern Arab city is a unique blend of the new and the old. Aqaba, a town which is always buzzing – thanks to the beautiful Red Sea with its rich marine and coral life, that makes this resort town ideal for water activities such as deep sea diving and snorkelling.

Jordan is now a major religious and health and wellness tourism hub. Excellent hotels with spa and fitness facilities, as well as archaeological and spiritual sites makes this country enticing to families as well as MICE groups.
